Our Story

Founded with a vision to nurture young minds in a supportive and inspiring environment, Costina Nursery and Primary School has grown into a trusted institution known for academic excellence, moral guidance, and a deep commitment to community values. We blend modern teaching techniques, blended learning, and correspondence teaching with traditional values, ensuring every child receives a well-rounded education that prepares them for the future.
2013
Costina Nursery and Primary School opens its doors to the first set of pupils, focusing on foundational learning in a warm and nurturing setting.
2015
Introduction of advanced teaching resources, including computer-assisted learning and extracurricular programs.
2020
Expansion of facilities with new classrooms, a modern library, and upgraded play areas to enhance learning and recreation.
2021 and update
Launch of our Correspondence Teaching Program In response to the Indigenous People of Biafra's (IPOB's) declared sit-at-home orders on Mondays, ensuring pupils continued learning from home while maintaining academic excellence and engagement.

School History
Costina Nursery and Primary School was founded to provide quality early childhood and primary education in a safe, nurturing environment. Over the years, the school has maintained high academic standards and a strong commitment to moral values, helping children develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
In August 2021, due to the impact of the Nnamdi Kanu–led Monday sit-at-home directive in Enugu State, the school adapted by introducing correspondence learning. This adjustment allowed pupils to continue engaging with the full curriculum remotely, ensuring that no learning time was lost despite the restrictions.
Costina remains dedicated to blending innovation with tradition, fostering resilient, well-rounded learners prepared for the challenges of the future.
Our Story
At Costina Nursery and Primary School, we’ve always believed that nothing should stand in the way of a child’s learning. In August 2021, when the Nnamdi Kanu–led Monday sit-at-home began in Enugu State, we quickly adapted by introducing correspondence learning.
This meant our pupils could keep learning from home while still following the full curriculum. It was our way of turning challenges into opportunities — and making sure our children kept growing, no matter what.
